Meadow Creek Wetland Restoration Project Completed

We’re happy to report the completion of a major wetland restoration project near Meadow Creek, British Columbia.  The project restored 36 emergent and ephemeral wetlands on lands managed by The Nature Trust of British Columbia, and on private land owned by Terry & Michele Halleran.  Using new techniques, we were able to efficiently build groundwater-supplied wetlands up to 1.2-hectares in size with two excavators and a low ground pressure dozer.

Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge–restored wetlands attracting Sandhill Cranes

Sandhill Cranes are using the new wetlands we built at the Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge near Seymour, Indiana.  We designed and built two-large wetlands for the Sandhill Crane as part of two separate Hands-on Wetland Restoration Workshops from September 14-17, 2015.  (Photo by Donna Stanley, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service)
